The secrets of therapy that will change everything.
Therapy can be profoundly life-changing. And I’m going to tell you the secrets I learned from my own experience in therapy, along with the things I picked up over the years while working with clients that have become universal truths.
I’m doing this because it’s knowledge I shouldn’t keep to myself. And if you use what I share, you’ll get what you want.
But it’s not enough to know these things, and I am the one who can show you how to get there.
Here we go.
The ‘shift’ that starts the change.
The ‘shift’ you’re looking for when you finally start to make the changes in your life will only happen when the pain of not having the life you want is greater than the pain that keeps you stuck and frozen.
This is true for making changes in relationships, career, spiritually, or with yourself.
Your therapist is your mentor.
A mentor is someone who has the life experience, expertise, and creativity to get you where you want to go – because they’ve already done the work on themselves and continue to do so.
Most of us have never had this type of relationship before.
If you welcome this relationship, you’ll get what you want.
Stop Self-Counseling.
Self-counsel is a guaranteed way to keep you stuck and confused.
Help yourself by finding someone who will give perspective and teach you how to think, not what to think.
You can either be a good burden or a bad burden.
A good burden means taking a risk and leaning into what therapy has to offer, which, frankly, is life-changing.
It’s recognizing that even though it’s going to be hard to be openly vulnerable, you’re going to do it anyway. And this will get you what you want.
A bad burden is what you’ve already been doing. Feeling like you’re too much or that you’re playing the victim if you get help, which is simply untrue.
The only way around is through.
This is probably the biggest lesson of all.
The best way to change your life is to go straight through all of the things that are creating resistance, like negative beliefs or past trauma.
But you don’t do it alone. You do it with someone who knows how to guide you safely through the process.
Any other version of this is an attempt to go around the issue. Let’s call this avoidance.
Something About Me.
I was there, too. There was a time when I was extremely lost in life. But therapy changed the direction of my life forever.
Because I went through it, I will get you through it, too. Whether you’re coming to me for personal growth, relationship struggles, or healing from trauma through EMDR, we can work together to get you past the problem.
It’s not that we need to share the same experiences. But I do need to know what it’s like to go from feeling stuck to coming out the other side a better version. And that experience I know very well.
I continuously work on myself to be the best mentor for you. As a result, therapy with me will be the one place where you never have to worry about what I’m thinking and feeling. We don’t have that type of freedom out there in the real world.
I live in Los Angeles, CA, and work extensively with individuals and couples in West Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and areas adjacent.
My clients come to me facing issues related to complex trauma, PTSD, relationship/marital problems, anxiety, depression, and career/life transitions, or overall dissatisfaction.
Also, my background in entertainment makes me qualified to work with those in Film, TV, & Music and help clients minimize the pressures that exist with these professions.
